Andrew Holloway Floorsanding specialises in sanding and applying polyurethane and oil-based finishes for timber, cork and parquet floors.

I am well-known for the quality of my work and reliability, and have been in business on Auckland's North Shore for over 30 years.

With experience on all sizes of sites ranging from small toilets and bathrooms to 2000m2 stadiums, no job is too large or too small.

Floor Sanding and Polyurethaning

The Ultimate Finish & Protection

A polyurethane coating on timber flooring both enhances and protects the floor.

Polyurethane comes in three finishes - 1. High Gloss, 2. Stain, and 3. Matt. Whichever finish you choose will bring out the natural colours and textures in your floor.

Floor Staining and Blonding

Colour enhancement for floors

Staining is the process of changing the colour of a wooden floor, while 'blonding' is lightening the colour.

We'll apply 2 or 3 samples of stain colours onto your floor, as the stain can vary depending on the timber. This allows you to see the colour before choosing.

Floor Preparation

Preparation for a Perfect Finish

Floor preparation includes drum sanding of old timber or particle board floors for either carpet installation or overlay of solid hardwood flooring or pre-finished flooring products.

A quality preparation is essential to achieve a quality finish with any other flooring choice.

Epoxy Filling and Maintenance

Lengthening the Life of your Floor

Epoxy fillers can be used to repair timber floors, filling holes and cracks, and giving a beautiful boat-deck look finish.

Reglazing can also be undertaken to lift the gloss finish on your wooden floors without the full sand-and-polyurethane process. It's a great way to keep it looking great, indefinitely.
